Getting Started with DCA+

Welcome to DCA+! This guide will walk you through setting up your automated trading system from scratch.

What is DCA+?

DCA+ is an automated cryptocurrency trading platform that connects to multiple exchanges and executes trading strategies based on your configuration. It supports:

  • Multiple Exchanges: Coinmate, Binance
  • Strategy Automation: Pre-built and custom trading strategies
  • Risk Management: Position sizing, stop-losses, and risk controls
  • Real-time Monitoring: Live dashboard and notifications

Quick Start (5 minutes)

Step 1: Access DCA+

  1. Open DCA+ in your browser
  2. You'll see the DCA+ dashboard
  3. If this is your first time, you'll be prompted to create an account

Step 2: Connect Your First Exchange

Before you can start trading, you need to connect at least one exchange. We'll walk through this process in detail below.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

  • ✅ A verified account on your chosen exchange(s)
  • ✅ Two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled on exchange accounts
  • ✅ Basic understanding of cryptocurrency trading
  • Required: List of IPs for whitelisting (mandatory for security)
    • DCA+ IP: 176.102.64.225 (Additional IPs may be provided as the service scales) (add this to your exchange API whitelist)

Security First: API Key Best Practices

Always follow these principles:

  • 🔐 Create dedicated API keys for DCA+ (never reuse existing keys)
  • 🚫 Never enable withdrawal permissions
  • ✅ Enable only spot trading permissions
  • 🌐 Use IP whitelisting when possible
  • 💾 Store credentials securely (you only see secrets once)

Step-by-Step Exchange Setup

Coinmate Setup (quick)

  1. Create a new API key on Coinmate with Spot Trading enabled and Withdrawals disabled.
  2. Restrict the key to trusted IPs: 176.102.64.225.
  3. Copy the API Key and Secret.
  4. In DCA+: Settings → Exchange Connections → Add Connection → Coinmate → paste credentials → Test → Save.

Binance Setup (quick)

  1. Create a new API key on Binance.
  2. First enable IP restriction and add: 176.102.64.225.
  3. Enable Reading and Spot & Margin Trading; disable Withdrawals (and Futures unless needed).
  4. Copy the API Key and Secret.
  5. In DCA+: Settings → Exchange Connections → Add Connection → Binance → paste credentials → Test → Save.

Verify Your Setup

After connecting your exchanges:

  1. Check Connection Status

    • Go to Exchanges → Connections
    • Verify all connections show "Authorized" status
    • Check account balances are loading correctly
  2. Test with Small Amount

    • Start with paper trading or very small amounts
    • Verify orders are being placed correctly
    • Monitor for any errors or issues
